JUNIOR GYM
As part of our junior health & fitness membership we are able to offer junior gym sessions.
These supervised sessions are a brilliant starting point for any child wishing to get fit and active in safe surroundings.
These sessions are aimed at children aged 11-15 years and are run 7 days a week so there's no excuse to miss a session.
We require all users to complete an induction with a member of the fitness team, where your child will be inducted into the safe use of the gyms equipment. From there, your child can attend any session they wish on a casual basis or they can take advantage of our junior health & fitness membership.
ADULT AND JUNIOR GYM
Families can take advantage of our Adult and Junior gym sessions, which provide an excellent way to exercise and spend quality time together. To promote physical activity among younger participants, the responsible adult can actively supervise the junior throughout the duration of their session rather than being instructor lead. Juniors must be between the age of 11-15 and had an induction before their first session. Both the adult and junior must have a pre-paid membership or pay as they go.
JUNIOR GYM INDUCTION
All juniors are required to book and attend a junior gym induction before attending there first junior gym sessions. Junior inductions are conducted by our level 2 qualified Fitness Instructors in small groups of no more than two people. The induction will go over health & safety information, explain the gym etiquette. Demonstrate the equipment that juniors are allowed to use during their junior gym sessions and how to use this equipment safely and help them on there fitness journey.
Our Junior Induction take place Monday-Friday 3:30 & 4:30
Junior Gym Rules
Juniors will have access to the majority of gym equipment including:
Cardio machines (treadmills, cross-trainers, upright bikes, recumbent bikes, A, & rowing machines)
Resistance machines* (chest press, chest fly, seated row, cables pulley machines, leg press, hip adductor, hip abductor, lat pull down, shoulder press, leg extension, hamstring curl, & assisted chin-up & Dip machine)
Functional Area* (TRX ropes, Kettle bells, Skipping Ropes, Steps, Slam Balls, Battle Rope, Plyo Boxes and Core Bags
Juniors are not able to access the Half Rack, Squat Rack, Smith Machine or the Bench Press.
*Juniors are required to use the lightest weight plates when using the resistance machines and not go heavier than 10kg when using dumbbells.
Due to high demand Junior gym sessions are restricted to 60 minute bookings and you are required to vacate the gym at the conclusion of your session.
