Gym Refurbishments - Gateshead

We’re pleased to announce that all leisure centres in Gateshead will soon be receiving exciting gym upgrades.

Over the coming weeks and months, each gym will be fitted with brand-new Technogym equipment, including a full replacement of the existing cardiovascular, fixed resistance, and strength training machines. These upgrades are part of our commitment to enhancing your fitness experience.

While these improvements are underway, there will be some temporary closures. We’ll do our best to keep any disruption to a minimum. Please see the closure and reopening dates for each centre below:

 

Gateshead International Stadium

- Closed from 27th May

- Reopens 2nd June

 

Blaydon Leisure Centre

- Closed from 14th July

- Reopens 21st July

 

Dunston Leisure Centre

- Closed from 21st July

- Reopens 28th July

 

Heworth Leisure Centre

- Closed from 28th July

- Reopens 4th August

During the closure periods, customers are welcome to use other leisure centres across both Gateshead and Newcastle.
