Have you received a text or email from us?
We work closely with the School Nursing Team in the Greenwich Borough, and you may have been contacted as part of the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP).
The national programme measures the height and weight of children in Reception and Year 6. The results are shared with parents and carers to help support children’s healthy growth.
If your child is found to possibly benefit from additional support, programmes like Xplore may be offered to help with healthy lifestyle choices.
You can find more information about the Xplore service on this page or call us on 0203 795 0715 to discuss with you further.
Alternatively, email us at: xplore.greenwich@gll.org and we can send you more details
How Xplore Works
Xplore is a fun and friendly eight-week programme that provides support for children and young people to live healthier and more active lives. Through interactive games, nutrition workshops, and fun physical activities, families are supported to develop long-term healthy habits together.
Why Choose Xplore
The programme is designed to give lots of handy tips around healthy eating and activity so children, young people and their families can try new things to improve their health and wellbeing within their everyday lives. Our trained facilitators provide accessible tips and advice around nutrition, youth health and physical activity. Help your family eat better, move more, and feel healthier.

“My family is very motivated and we have made a massive change to our lifestyle. We do more family walks and keep more active. We have stopped buying sugars and choose healthier options. We check labels. We cut out so many snacks as we now check if we need it or just fancy it. The team are so amazing and we cannot thank them enough” Nabjit, parent enrolled on Waterfront Leisure Centre (7 – 11 Years)
“She has now realised what food are healthy and not. Talking to someone else has made us realise we needed to change our diet and do more exercise. We have changed a lot of foods we eat e.g. Yoghurt, bread, rice, pasta, milk. She rides a bike home from school most of the days” Parent enrolled on The Plumstead Centre (4 – 6 Years)
