Kensington Leisure Centre is working in partnership with tennis charity Give It Your Max this summer to provide free mini tennis camps for local children aged 5-11 years old. Camps will take place in the sports hall at Kensington Leisure Centre.

These camps offer an introduction to tennis using fun activities aimed at developing basic hand eye co-ordination and basic racket skills.

The first two camps take place as below...

Camp 1: Thursday 23rd July & Friday 24th July 10am-12pm

Camp 2: Thursday 23rd July & Friday 24th July 1pm-3pm

To register an interest in a camp please email ben.lett@gll.org stating which camp you want to attend morning or afternoon. Registration forms will then be sent, places are only confirmed when forms are received complete and places confirmed by GLL staff.

We hope to have more camps in the summer; please keep an eye on the website.

In 2025, Give It Your Max proudly celebrated 20 years of changing young lives through tennis. Since the first sessions in 2005, we’ve steadily grown into a nationwide network of programmes that reach children, families, and schools in some of the UK’s most disadvantaged communities.

Over two decades, we’ve seen first-hand how tennis can do so much more than teach a sport – it can inspire confidence, foster independence, build friendships, and break down barriers.

There are plenty of reasons why you should pick up a racket and start playing tennis.

Tennis is a great form of exercise and an amazing sport. Anyone can play; whatever your motivation or ability, from all communities and backgrounds.

At any age and for a whole lifetime, tennis provides physical, social and mental rewards both on and off the court. Best of all, it's fun and a great way to spend time with friends and family.
