Help Shape the Future of Health and Wellbeing Services in Lewisham

The NHS and Public Health Lewisham are seeking an exciting opportunity for Lewisham residents to become Lived Experience Partners and help shape the development of their new Neighbourhood Prevention Hubs across the borough.

These Prevention Hubs will bring together local services, community organisations and residents to support healthier communities and reduce health inequalities. They are keen to involve people with a wide range of experiences, including those who use health and care services, care for family members, volunteer locally, or have experience of managing their own health and wellbeing

Lewisham residents are being invited to help design new Neighbourhood Prevention Hubs, which will bring together local services, community organisations and residents to support healthier communities across the borough.

We are looking for people with lived experience of using health, care or community services, caring for others, managing long-term conditions, or supporting local communities. No formal qualifications are required, just a willingness to share your experiences and ideas.  

Who can apply?

  •  People who live, work, volunteer or receive services in Lewisham
  • People under 50 years of age
  • People with experience of managing their own health and wellbeing, caring for others, or supporting local communities
  • People who want to improve services and share their views respectfully

What will you do?

  • Attend 4 to 6 co-design workshops or meetings
  • Share your experiences, ideas and feedback
  • Help shape how the Prevention Hubs operate
  • Advise on reaching people who may not usually access support
  • Work alongside residents, community groups and professionals as an equal partner

What is involved?

Participation is expected between December 2026 and June 2027, with in-person and virtual options.

Reasonable adjustments, reimbursement and recognition will be available. No qualifications or previous experience necessary
