Pools on the Park designated as a ‘Cool Space’ to help Richmond residents beat the heat
Pools on the Park is providing a designated Cool Space for anyone seeking respite from the heat this summer.
The initiative supports members of the local community who may be vulnerable during periods of hot weather and heatwaves. The Cool Space is open to everyone, including non-members, offering a welcoming and comfortable indoor environment where visitors can take a break from the heat.
Visitors can access a range of amenities, including:
- Free drinking water
- Comfortable seating areas
- Free public Wi-Fi
- Toilet facilities
- Café with refreshments available to purchase
Those looking to stay active can also take advantage of the centre’s swimming facilities, which offer a great way to cool down during warmer weather (normal admission charges apply).
The Cool Space initiative is part of Better’s commitment to supporting community health and wellbeing, ensuring that local residents have access to safe and welcoming spaces during periods of extreme heat.
