We had an eventful day here at Manchester Tennis & Football Centre on Friday 19th May. Following the capital investment from our client MCRactive, our three 3G 5-a-side football pitches at Manchester Tennis & Football Centre have recently been refurbished. We decided to host an open day to showcase some of the activities we have on offer at Manchester Tennis & Football Centre. We worked in partnership with City in the Community to deliver a well-being sports activity festival.

City in the Community delivered an eight team mental health football festival made up of adult mental health organisations throughout Greater Manchester. During the football festival we had walking tennis & well-being tennis sessions on offer on our indoor & outdoor courts for the football festival participants, spectators & local community to take part in. City in the Community also delivered a well-being workshop the main focusing points was on men suffering with mental health problems and the importance for the individuals to speak out and seek help when necessary - Trying to wipe out the stigma of men that speak out are weak.

In the evening we hosted a female grassroots recreational 5-a-side football tournament organised by Manchester FA dubbed RekFest 2023. The event had 18 teams participating made up of teams throughout Greater Manchester. The event was well attended with over 150 particpants and spectators in attendance.
