Lesley Rutter  has been a coach for over 10 years teaching fundamental, early years and pre-school, specialising in teaching Team Gym, a discipline where up to 12 gymnasts perform together in tumbling, trampette, vault and floor routines.   Her previous experience working with local authorities and schools in the region as a community coach will stand her in good stead to develop the new programme for GLL Newcastle centres.

Lesley said, “It is my passion for all kids to have the opportunity to get involved and take part in gymnastics, with accessible sessions and affordable prices so there are no barriers to participation.  This new scheme ticks those boxes with great equipment, modern buildings and concessionary pricing available.  We will initially be teaching recreational ‘all-round’ skills , but we hope that as we see children and adults advance we can develop additional sessions specialising in different areas.
