GLL Community Foundation

The GLL Community Foundation helps local projects with funding, facilities and support that encourages people to be active, to learn and to play together. Projects could include organising a sports tournament or improving a community library to creating a new sports league or revamping a children's playground.

GLL is offering up to £5,000 worth of cash and in kind support to community projects across the UK through their new GLL Community Foundation in partnership with Spacehive. GLL is the first leisure organisation to partner with Spacehive and to contribute to the local community in this way.

Our Community sports team can also offer the following facilities:-

Activity Hire

Looking for something different or new for you school, party or event?  Why not try a fun and exciting activity delivered by the NK Community Sport Team. The NK Outreach Team operates various mobile sports equipment which is available to hire both within the North Kesteven district and surrounding areas. Our equipment comes as an inclusive package which includes supervisors, the equipment and all safety equipment for participants. You can hire any of our packages knowing that you are in safe hands.  If you can’t come to us, we can come to you! The NK Outreach team has the following various mobile facilities available to hire for parties as well as community events and schools.

Mobile Skate Park

The mobile skate park is ideal for skateboarders, those with scooters, inline skaters and BMX riders as we have various sized ramps which can be set up in various forms depending on ability and interest. This can be set up on any hard flat surface and is very popular. The equipment comes with helmets, safety pads and a selection of skate boards and scooters. Depending on the size of the area, the skate park can safely accommodate 16 children or young people at any one time. Smaller areas will operate slightly less, approximately maximum of 8 children or young people. The Community outreach team members supervise the activity when in operation.

Mobile Climbing Wall

The mobile climbing wall operates with an automated belay system – catching you as soon as you let go. The wall can take up to 4 climbers at a time, and there are two routes per belay device. As well as hand hold routes, for the more adventurous climber, the wall also offers a hold free route, which the team name ‘The Crack’. Only a few have mastered!

Little Ninjas Obstacle Course (formally Freebound)

Our mobile obstacle course has been revamped for 2019. With inspiration from Ninja Warrior and Junior Tough Mudder this course is challenging, yet achievable for ages 4 upwards. The Community sports team will deliver a fun supported session, giving all the encouragement needed to complete the course – and the odd leg up where needed.
