Swimming lessons at Sleaford Leisure Centre

Here at Sleaford Leisure Centre our swimming lessons are designed to cater for all ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced swimmers. All of our teachers are professional, passionate and pupil-focused and will ensure you and your children are in safe hands in the water. Whether you want to improve your water confidence, stay safe in the water or become an expert swimmer, our experienced instructors are here to help you achieve your goals!

Here are some of the things that you can expect in your lessons here:

  • Lessons for pupils 3 months and older.
  • A 'team teaching' style - we have the flexibility for your child to be in the class of their ability for the stroke that they will be swimming each week.
  • Additional Lead Teachers on poolside to help children with progression and help new starters.
  • Access to Swim For All, Swim For Family, and Swim for Fitness sessions included with swim lesson memberships.

SWIMBiES

Why not get your child swimming early?! Our SWIMBiES lessons cater for pupils 1 year and older. With a baby/child led approach to swimming and water safety, this is also a perfect time for parents to bond with their littlest family members.

Children's Swimming Lessons

Swimming is a vital life skill that can help keep children safe in and around water while providing all-around exercise. That's why at Sleaford Leisure Centre we offer affordable children's swimming lessons for all ages and abilities. Available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday evenings and Saturday morning.

Adult Swimming Lessons

It's never too late to learn. If you're an adult and are a complete beginner or want to improve your skills, our Adult Swimming Lessons- Beginner/Improver sessions are perfect for you. During these sessions, our instructor will cover all of the basics and give you a great foundation for improvement. Even better, these are available on a pay-as-you go basis!

1-to-1s, 2-to-1s and SEN lessons

We understand that every person is different and has their own goals to achieve in the water. That’s why, at Sleaford Leisure Centre, we offer private 1-to-1, 2-to-1 and SEN swimming lessons with expert instructors who can create and tailor bespoke swim plans to help you or your child hit their targets.

Short Course Swimming Lessons

Keep an eye out for our Swim School Short Courses over the school holidays. 

Running Monday to Friday, half an hour every day with our qualified teachers gives children the consistency throughout the week to develop. We have lesson plans designed to help children at all levels develop their swimming techniques, build their confidence and let them have fun! These are perfect for introducing your child to the world of swimming or giving them that extra little boost to pass the stage they are currently at!

Swim School Distance Days

Most of our Swim School stages have distance criteria that need to be met before moving up. For those pupils that need the extra opportunity to hit that distance goal we run our Distance Days! Held during certain school holidays and open to all children (free for Swim School members!), why not try to get that milestone ticked off and maybe even get a badge and certificate afterwards.

Keep an eye out for our next distance day date! Places are likely to go quickly!
