Over 60 and up for a challenge? Represent Welwyn Hatfield at the Club Games!
For the first time ever, Welwyn Hatfield will be stepping up to the challenge and joining the 2025 Better Club Games - an exciting celebration of fitness, fun, and friendly competition for older adults across London, Surrey, and the South East.
Since 2006, the Games have brought together leisure centre members aged 60+, giving them the chance to represent their community in three action-packed days of sport, laughter, and team spirit. From swimming to table tennis and more, participants compete for the coveted Club Games trophy - proving that age is no barrier to staying active. Healthy Competition
More than just a competition, the Games are about connecting with others, enjoying new experiences, and being cheered on by enthusiastic crowds. Each year, a celebrity ambassador adds extra sparkle. In 2024, Christopher Biggins brought humour and energy. This year, the legendary Su Pollard takes on the role.
“I’m so thrilled to be joining the Better Club Games this year and showing the world that older people can keep fit and enjoy ‘Hi-de-Hi’ jinks as much as the youngsters!” - Su Pollard
