Families across the area are being invited to enjoy a fun-filled day of activities, entertainment and wellbeing support as Community Day returns to Penrith Leisure Centre on Sunday 8 November from 10am to 2pm.

Now in its third year, the popular community event is being delivered in partnership with Eden Primary Care Network, bringing together local organisations, activities and health services to support people of all ages to live healthier, more connected lives.

The free event will offer a wide range of activities throughout the day, including a gymnastics display and taster session, family Fitbeats, circus skills workshops, health checks, wellbeing advice, table tennis, crafts and interactive challenges. Visitors will also be able to enjoy discounted activities, including the pool inflatable and £1 swimming sessions alongside 50% off Inflatable Zone and Jungle Jacks Soft Play.

10am: Gymnastics Taster
10.30am: Pool Inflatable
11.15am: Family Fitbeats
11.30am: £1pp swims
12pm-2pm: Circus Skills Workshop
10am-2pm: 50% off Inflatable Zone and Jungle Jacks Soft Play
Alongside the activities, attendees will have the opportunity to meet local organisations, access wellbeing information and discover services available within their community. The event aims to showcase the many ways residents can improve their physical and mental wellbeing while having fun as a family.
In recognition of Remembrance Sunday, a two-minute silence will be observed at 11am, with organisers inviting everyone attending to take part in the moment of remembrance and respect.

Refreshments will be available on a pay-as-you-can basis throughout the day, with all donations supporting the Royal British Legion.

Organisers hope the event will bring local communities together, encourage people to try new activities and help residents discover the support and opportunities available on their doorstep.
