What's it about?
The Better Club Games is a national programme of inclusive, sociable sporting events for adults aged 60 and over. Delivered by GLL, the Games bring together people from Better leisure centres and community groups to represent their local area in a fun, friendly but competitive environment.
Celebrating 20 Years (2006–2026)
2026 marks the 20th anniversary of the first Better Club Games, launched in London in 2006.
The Games began with a simple idea: to give older adults the opportunity to compete, connect and represent their communities through sport.
From one single event in London 20 years ago, we now have a nationwide movement, supporting thousands of adults to stay active, social and connected. The Club Games now take place across multiple regions including London, Belfast, Manchester, Cornwall, Reading & Oxfordshire and more - continuing to grow each year – because sport, fun and competition has no age limit.
