Running from Wednesday 8 April to Friday 10th April the three-day course is designed to help young participants develop core gymnastics skills in a fun, supportive and structured environment.

The scheme will focus on building confidence, coordination and overall ability, whether children are completely new to the sport or already training regularly.

The training is open to beginners, children attending weekly RISE gymnastics classes at Better Leisure Centres, and gymnasts who train with local clubs and are looking for additional practice time.

What Participants Will Learn?
Across the three days, gymnasts will work on key apparatus and fundamental movement skills, including:

  • Floor – shapes, rolls, balances and basic routines.
  • Beam – balance, control and confidence at height.
  • Vault – safe take-off, flight and landing technique.
  • Bars – strength development, swings and body coordination.

In addition to apparatus work, sessions will support improvements in strength, flexibility, balance and coordination through engaging and age-appropriate activities.

Inclusive and Supportive Environment
Organisers emphasise that the scheme caters to all abilities. Each participant will receive guidance appropriate to their age and experience level, allowing them to progress at their own pace in a safe setting.

Parents can be reassured that sessions will be delivered by qualified gymnastics coaches, with all staff DBS checked and first aid trained. Children will use safe, age-appropriate equipment, and all activities will follow structured and progressive coaching plans.

What to Bring?
Participants are asked to attend in comfortable sports clothing or a leotard, with hair tied back and no jewellery. A water bottle is required, and children may bring a small snack or lunch if needed.

Spaces are limited to ensure high-quality coaching and individual support. Families are encouraged to book early to secure a place and give their child the opportunity to enjoy an active, confidence-building Easter break through gymnastics.
