Liskeard's 50th Birthday

On Friday 21st July, the centre will turn 50year old, not only that GLL are also celebrating a huge milestone of 30years being a Social Enterprise.

Not only those fantastic work outs, but here’s another exciting offer, with the support Cornwall County Football Association and Dobwalls FC we will be providing Walking football, with the hope to establish a regular weekly session at the centre.

What’s more there will also be another walking sport on offer, Walking Netball as a feature on the long list of taster activities available, this too is with the intention to establish a weekly session.

As the name suggests, walking sports are played at walking pace, with players not allowed to run or jog. They are particularly suitable for the over fifties and for people wanting to reap all the health benefits of keeping physically fit as they get older.
