Leisure Pool Update
Families across Eastbourne have a brand-new reason to make a splash this February, as the much-anticipated reopening of the Leisure Pool takes place on Saturday 14th February 2026, just in time for the February half-term holidays.
Following a period of improvement works, the Leisure Pool is reopening with a range of exciting new interactive features designed to enhance the experience for children of all ages, while continuing to provide a fun, safe and welcoming environment for families.
One of the standout additions is the transformation of the shallow end, which now includes new interactive play features specially designed for younger swimmers. These additions encourage imaginative play while helping children build confidence in the water.
A striking interactive wall, finished in a bright underwater design, has been installed and features a series of moving parts and water jets. This element provides both tactile and visual stimulation, creating an engaging experience that encourages exploration and play. Younger visitors will also be delighted by the brand-new toddler slide, offering a gentle introduction to water slides in a safe and fun setting.
For those looking for bigger splashes, the new interactive mast is sure to be a highlight. Complete with a large wheel arm, tipping bucket and pipefall arms, this feature delivers thrilling water effects and plenty of laughter as the bucket fills and tips, to the delight of children watching below.
To make the most of the February half-term break, the Leisure Pool will be operating an extended timetable, with sessions increased to 1.5 hours and opening times running from 9:00am to 7:00pm, giving families more flexibility and more time to enjoy the facilities.
Adding even more excitement to the holiday programme, the popular Aqua Splash inflatable assault course will be available every day during the half-term holidays, with access to the Leisure Pool included. The Aqua Splash offers a high-energy challenge for confident swimmers and is a firm favourite with older children and teenagers.
The reopening marks an exciting new chapter for the Leisure Pool, providing a refreshed, fun-filled destination for families to enjoy throughout the year.
For session times and booking information, visitors are encouraged to check the centre’s website or speak to a member of staff.
