‘Better’ Camden launches May half term Holiday Programmes across the borough
Families across Camden can look forward to an action-packed week this May half term, as ‘Better’, the UK’s largest charitable social enterprise, rolls out an exciting lineup of activities for children and young people from Monday 26th May to Sunday 1st June 2025.
Swimming Opportunities for All Ages
Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre is offering a One-Week Swimming Crash Course in the teaching pool, running Monday to Friday from 9am–11am—ideal for children looking to build water confidence and swimming skills in a short time.
Families can also enjoy extensive Swim For All sessions throughout the week in both the teaching and main pools, offering inclusive access for swimmers of all ages and abilities.
Oasis Sports Centre is making a splash with Swim for All in both its indoor and outdoor pools. Indoor swim sessions run 9am–6pm on weekdays, 12.30pm–4pm on Saturdays, and 10am–4pm on Sundays. Outdoor swimming is also available from 10am–6pm, weather permitting.
Pancras Square Leisure Centre offers Swim for All daily from Tuesday to Friday, 9am–12pm, and on Monday from 10am–11am, 12pm–1pm, and 2pm–4pm.
Kentish Town Sports Centre continues the excitement with daily Swim for All sessions in the Grafton Pool and Small Pool between 9:00am and 3:00pm.
Junior Gym
Young people aged 11–17 can stay active throughout the half term with Junior Gym and Adult & Junior Gym access across several centres:
Swiss Cottage: Junior Gym daily from 9am–6pm, weekends until 5pm
Oasis: Varied weekday sessions from 10am, with extended weekend access
Pancras Square: Junior Gym from 10am–12pm
Kentish Town: Junior Gym 11am–1pm, Monday to Friday
Indoor Adventures at Talacre
Talacre Community Sports Centre opens its popular Soft Play sessions for families throughout the week. Regular hours are 9am–6pm (Monday–Friday) and 9am–1.45pm (Saturday–Sunday). Special Bank Holiday hours apply on Monday 26th May, extended to 9am–3.45pm.
Whether you’re looking to stay active, learn new skills, or just enjoy time with the family, Better Camden has something for everyone this May half term.

Multi-Sport & Gymnastics Camps
Back by popular demand, the Camden Holiday Multi-Sport Scheme, run by the Camden Council returns from 27th–30th May for children aged 8–12. Taking place from 9am–3.30pm, the scheme offers a variety of sports and activities at great value:
Concession: £37 (4-day) / £9.60 (daily)
Standard: £78.65 (4-day) / £20 (daily)
Full Price: £138.85 (4-day) / £35 (daily)
For younger children aged 4–7, the Mini Gymnastics Holiday Camp also runs from 27th–30th May, between 11am–12.30pm. Prices start at just £25.50 for concessionary access.
