Disability multi-sports

Disability Sports Coach are hosting a weekly sports session for all disabilities 11 years to adults in partnership with Botwell Green Sports & Leisure Centre.

The DSC Club Hillingdon session runs on Saturday’s between 11:00am and 1:00pm during term time. Sports will include basketball, boccia, football, tennis and more!

Club Hillingdon will be part of the 11 club strong Sport England award winning club project offer. DSC Community Clubs offer all disabled people the chance to play sport in a structured and social environment. Within the clubs developing participants’ physical and social skills run hand in hand.

Who: All disabled young people 11 years and over are welcome

When: Saturdays 11:00am-1:00pm (during term time)

Where: Botwell Green Sports & Leisure Centre, Hayes, UB3 2HW

Cost: £3 per session

Everyone deserves to feel better

For people with disability, it’s important to be as physically active as possible. It’s crucial to look for ways to overcome any barriers that you are likely to face as you try to become more physically active.

The disability pathway below should provide an opportunity for anyone with a disability to engage in sporting activities across Hillingdon.

Swimming

The Turtles Swimming Club is a swimming club designed fro anyone with a mental health, physical or learning difficulty. 

  • The Turtles Swimming Club was formed in 1964 and is a registered charity.
  • The club is open to all people with a disability together with their helpers or immediate family.
  • The club caters for all standards of swimmers and for all ages. The main pool is equipped with a hoist to help those with a physical disability in and out of the water.
  • The club meets at the Highgrove pool, Ruislip every Saturday between 5pm and 6pm.
  • The club also offers opportunities for competitions by way of galas against other swimming clubs for the disabled.
  • The club also organise various social events throughout the year.

Gymnastics

As part of our General Gymnastics programme, we offer two disability drop in sessions for children of all ages who would like to learn gymnastics.

Who: Any young people with disabilities are welcome 

When: Sunday’s 1:00pm - 1:45pm (parent assisted class) & 1:45pm - 2:30pm

Where: Botwell Green Sports & Leisure Centre, Hayes, UB3 2HW

Cost: £3.50 per session
