Expansion of Fitness Offering with New Sports Hall Exercise Classes
Leytonstone Leisure Centre is set to boost its fitness programme from 1st June with the launch of a new timetable of exercise classes in its sports hall, creating more opportunities for the local community to stay active and get involved.
The move will significantly increase class capacity, expanding spaces from 24 to 40 participants per session. This enhancement will make it easier for members and new users alike to secure a spot in popular classes, while also reducing waiting lists and improving overall accessibility.
By utilising the larger Sports Hall, the centre is also exploring the introduction of new and diverse class formats. These could include high-energy group workouts, larger functional fitness sessions, and community-focused activities designed to appeal to a broader range of ages and abilities.
Leytonstone Leisure Centre proactively seeks feedback from centre visitors through Google Reviews and Trust Pilot which can provide valuable information to improve the service. Daniel Bank, Waltham Forest Community Sport Manager explains, “The expansion responds directly to growing demand for group exercise and reflects a commitment to providing inclusive, high-quality fitness opportunities. The increased space will allow instructors to deliver dynamic sessions in a more open and engaging environment, enhancing the overall experience for participants.”
Our members are encouraged to check the updated timetable and try out the new classes which are shown. Lauren Campbell, General Manager for Leytonstone Leisure Centre said, “Whether you’re a regular gym-goer or just starting your fitness journey, Leytonstone Leisure Centre’s expanded programme aims to offer something for everyone, and we hope this new setting inspires more people to get active.”
Bookings open from Tuesday 26th May, and early demand is expected to be high as the centre ushers in this exciting new chapter from the beginning of June.
