We're delighted to announce an exciting £250,000 investment project that will significantly enhance our gym facilities, delivering even more choice, availability and flexibility for members.

The investment will see a major upgrade of our cardio, fixed resistance and cable machine areas, bringing a range of new equipment to the centre. This follows the recent installation of eight new pieces of strength training equipment, further strengthening our commitment to providing a first-class fitness environment.

As part of the project, members can look forward to:

  • Double the number of Climbs machines, helping reduce waiting times and improve availability during peak periods
  • New dual adjustable pulley stations, providing greater versatility for strength and functional training workouts
  • A fleet of new group cycle bikes to enhance the indoor cycling experience
  • New dual-use abductor/adductor machines, offering increased functionality while making more efficient use of gym space

Upgraded cardio and resistance equipment across the gym floor.

The investment has been driven by feedback received through our You Said, We Did programme, where members highlighted the importance of equipment availability, reducing waiting times and continuing to invest in the gym experience.

The additional equipment will help improve availability during busy periods, allowing more members to access their preferred machines when they need them.

The upgrade will also support our maintenance programme by increasing equipment capacity, reducing the impact of any equipment being temporarily unavailable and helping us minimise maintenance-related wait times.

Work will commence on Wednesday 23rd June, with installation being carefully phased to minimise disruption wherever possible. Members will continue to have access to a wide range of equipment throughout the project, and regular updates will be provided as the improvements progress.

This latest investment is another important step in our long-term commitment to improving the centre and supporting the health and wellbeing of our community.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share their feedback. Through our You Said, We Did programme, your suggestions continue to shape the future of the centre and help us invest in the areas that matter most.
