Community Open Day on Friday 22nd May 2026
We are delighted to invite the local community to celebrate the recent transformation of Chingford Leisure Centre, following a £150,000 investment to enhance facilities for our customers.
Now fully complete, the project has delivered a significantly upgraded gym alongside fully refurbished changing facilities, creating a more modern, spacious, and welcoming environment for everyone.
The extended gym has already been open and enjoyed by members over the past two months, offering a noticeably more open training environment, improved equipment layout, and a smoother flow across the gym floor. These improvements make it easier and more comfortable to train at all times of day.
Our changing areas have also been fully upgraded, providing a cleaner, brighter, and more contemporary space that enhances the overall customer experience from arrival to departure. Finishing touches, including new LED lighting and refreshed branding, bring the whole space together and give the centre a modern, high-quality feel throughout.
To celebrate this investment, we are hosting a special Community Open Day on Friday 22nd May, welcoming both new and existing customers to experience the improved facilities.
The day will include:
- Open Day Gym Taster Session
- Open Day Strength and Conditioning Master Class
- Open Day Cardio Master Class
- Open Day Table Tennis - Adults
- Free health check & advice: 12:00-15:00
- Light refreshments and a celebratory cake
- An official ribbon-cutting ceremony with invited guests
