Open Weekend Walthamstow Leisure Centre 24th and 25th June
Why not Come down to our free open weekend Saturday and Sunday 24th & 25th June, with a variety of fitness activities for you, your family and friends to enjoy.
If you are not a member you will need to simply create a free membership in advance here click here to then be able to book into any of the free sessions and will give easy access to the centre on the day. Booking is essential for both members and non-members and sessions can be booked up to 6 days in advance of the open day.
Walthamstow Leisure Centre will be hosting a day of fun fitness activities for the local community to take part in and enjoy.
If you are already a member feel free to bring along friends or family members to experience the activities on offer.
If you have never been to our centre before, this day is especially for you!

Fitness classes
A variety of group fitness classes will be provided for you to join in. These will range from HITT, Power pump and Circuit classes. However If you are looking for a different type of workout why not try our legs bums and tums or a Yoga class. These classes will give you a taste of our centre programme and insight into the results you can achieve.
Gym floor fitness sessions
Don’t worry you are not obligated to join the group fitness classes, you are free to work out alone or alternatively, you can have a 1-2-1 session that will also give insight into the results you can achieve with us. 1-2-1 Gym sessions will be bookable with a Fitness instructor who will spend a short time taking you through a fitness assessment on the day. The assessment will give you a guide to where your fitness levels are and how to reach your goals whether it be weight, Fitness strength.
Train in a pair
Adult and juniors can come along and train together in the gym, try out the different fitness areas available for you to experience a fun and exciting workout l. Gym challenges will be run throughout the day so why not challenge one of our Fitness instructors.
Junior Gym sessions
Our junior sessions are available from 9am – 5pm over the weekend for ages 11 - 17 years. If your junior is new to the gym there will be a Fitness instructor on hand to talk you through different gym activities such as battle ropes box fit and mini gym circuits to help keep them motivated and also give them the opportunities to meet other like-minded juniors.
Join the challenge and win!
Over the weekend there will be mini gym challenges where you will have the chance to test yourselves and each other. The winners will receive a prize and will congratulated on the centres social media pages.
Nerf drop in sessions
Over the weekend why not drop into one of our Nerf drop in sessions
Bring a friend and blast your way through battle zones, target games and capture your opponent’s flag, 40 minutes of blasting and exhilarating fun.
For 6 years and above, safety is paramount! Our Nerf sessions come with soft tipped darts, protection goggles, soft inflatable combat zones and your very own combat vest.
Squash
Over the open weekend there will be Squash taster sessions available 12pm-2:00pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Squash coaches from the centres squash league will be on hand to help with training tips and advice on how to join the league from novice stage to intermediate level.
