Saturday 22^nd January 2022 saw the National Squash Centre & Regional Arena’s first major event of the year

• The BoXX United Manchester World Athletics Continental Tour was the first truly international indoor meeting in Britain for almost two years. With approximately 150 athletes from more than 40 nations, 150 staff and 300 sold out spectator seats, the arena had an amazing atmosphere.

• Some of the key highlights include Manchester’s own Andrew Robertson winning the 60m and Great Britain’s #1 Sophie McKinna throwing the shot put one centimetre off her indoor best at 18.53cm.

• It was a pleasure to work with event organiser Vicente Modahl who looks to take this event from silver to gold status, alongside Cherry Alexander OBE under Cherry & co and the Diane Modahl Sports Foundation. (https://dmsf.org.uk/)
