The White Horse Leisure & Tennis Centre launches its Senior Hub
The White Horse Leisure & Tennis Centre recently launched its Senior Hub. The senior hub aims to improve the social, mental & physical wellbeing of older adults across the Vale of White Horse.
The Senior Hub runs every Monday between 10.00-1.00pm.
It brings together a diverse select of activities including fitness classes and drop in sessions and much more.
The dedicated room with the perfect space to relax, unwind and socialise before or after your sessions. The room also has a selection of board games and free instant tea, coffee and biscuits making it the perfect space to relax in or continue the competitive spirit.
The Senior hub launched with a special event of Bingo. The event was attended by over 40 participants, it was great to see some new faces to the centre as well as our regulars. After a highly competitive game which included a number of spot prizes, Sue from Walking Netball was the eventual winner taking home the top prize of a Nutri Bullet.
After the huge success of the first event, we are delighted to announce the second event voted for by the members will be a quiz, which will include rounds of general knowledge, sport, TV & film and the famous picture round. The quiz will take place in the café on Monday 4th September at 12.30pm.
Teams of up to five will battle it out for a number of spot prizes and a main prize. Don’t worry of you don’t have your own team, we will bring teams together on the day so everyone can take part and even better it’s free to take part.
