Junior Gym Activities
Your Junior Gym
At Better Gym Walsall Wood we believe in beginning your childs health and fitness habits early. We offer a Junior Gym membership that permits independent gym access for ages 11-17 during pre-booked timeslots.
During the session a member of the fitness team will be available on the gym floor to supervise, advise & offer any support if needed.

Junior Induction
All juniors are required to book and attend a junior gym induction before attending the first junior gym sessions. Junior inductions are conducted by our level 2 or 3 qualified Fitness Instructors in small groups of no more than five people and are upto 45 minutes long. During the inductions, our Instructors will go over all health & safety information about the gym, explain the gym etiquette, demonstrate the equipment that juniors are allowed to use during the sessions, and show how to use it safely.

Junior Gym Rules
Juniors are require to pre-book the times they would like to use the gym & can do so via the Better UK mobile app (available from the app store) or online via the website.
Juniors are required to vacate the gym when the sessions finish and are not able to stay between sessions.
At weekends, juniors can book their gym sessions between 11am – 3pm and can book in any of the drip-feed 10 minute slots.
Juniors will have access to the majority of gym equipment including:
Cardio machines (treadmills, cross-trainers, upright bikes, spin bikes, recumbent bikes, & rowing machines)
Resistance machines** (chest press, chest fly, lateral row, cables pulley machines, leg press, hip adductor, hip abductor, lat pull down, shoulder press, leg extension, hamstring curl, cable stations & assisted chin-up)
Functional Area (TRX ropes, bosu balls, skipping ropes, steps, slam balls, battle rope, plyo boxes)
Juniors are not able to access the free weights area.
**Juniors are required to use the lightest weight plates when using the resistance machines.
