Last weekend at Hatfield Swim Centre was all about giving our community opportunities to stay active and healthy. We kicked things off with open gym sessions across the weekend, offering everyone a chance to explore our facilities and start their fitness journey without any commitment. It was the perfect way for beginners to take that first step toward a healthier lifestyle.

In the pool on Saturday, we ran adult and junior swimming lessons focused on building confidence and improving water safety skills. These sessions were especially timely as we continue to promote winter water safety awareness. To make the weekend even more engaging, we hosted a creative arts and crafts activity that families thoroughly enjoyed, adding a fun twist to the safety theme.

On Sunday, our attention turned to mental health and wellbeing. We introduced a mindfulness class featuring light stretching, breathing techniques and guided meditation helping participants relax and recharge. This session was designed to support both physical and mental wellbeing, reinforcing the importance of holistic health.
