Our open weekend is about welcoming the whole community into our centre for a range of free and discounted sessions. All ages and abilities join us for anything from fun and energetic swimming sessions, to informative gym sessions and classes, or important swim saftey lessons. Find the session for you below.

What do these sessions invole? 

Gym taster session - Kickstart your fitness journey with a free trial of the gym. Staff will be on hand to demonstrate machines and advise on the best ways to achieve your fitness goals.

Adult & Junior Gym - Keep your family active by working out together in our adult and junior gym sessions. Juniors must be supervised at all times by the adult accompanying them. Juniors are required to book into this session and must have completed an induction. Juniors aged 11-17 are able to attend these sessions

Swim for All - A general swim session for all ages and abilities for fun and fitness. One competent adult swimmer may supervise up to 2 under 8’s or non swimmers under 16 at a time.

Swim School & Swim Saftey Sessions - Dive into safety and confidence - Join us for your child's initial assessment in joining our Swim School and get an introduction to water safety ahead of summer for free! Suitable for 5-11 year old

Adult Beginner/Improver lessons - An adult swimming class for learners and improvers. Getting in for the first time or refreshing and improving your swimming skills, come and learn with our resident Swim Doctor

Mind and Body Fitness Master Class - Feel better inside and out with our Mind and Body group fitness classes. Build your strength and flexibility in our lower-impact classes like Pilates and feel revived and relaxed with our mindfulness-focused sessions, such as Yoga. Experience a few of the disciplines in this Mind and Body Master Class

Non members

Non-members are welcome to take part in all our Open Weekend activities. A free account will need to be created https://bookings.better.org.uk/register and then the activities can be booked.

What do I need to bring?

We encourage you to bring a water bottle, a towel and appropraite gym/swimwear. All other equipment is provided.

What if I have a health condition?

Please let a member of staff or your instructor know prior to the session of any health conditions.

How do I book? 

To book our open day activities please visit the Open Weekend Tab when booking and select the date you would like to attend. Please note the Swimming Options will be bookable under swimming tab.
