Most of our pitches are bookable via the Better UK app or online. All you’ll need to do is type in your postcode into our centre locator tool to find your nearest centre.

 For some locations, like Hackney Marshes, you’ll need to email to make your booking. Get in touch with your local centre to find out more. A selection of our football pitches can also only be booked through our partner, WePlay Football. What is the size of the 5-a-side football pitches?

Better 5-a-side football pitches can vary in size depending on location, but most of our pitches are around the recommended 36.5m x 27.5m (40 x 30 yards).

What is a 4G pitch and which generation do Better have?

4G is the newest generation of Astro Turf, a popular multipurpose surface. 4G pitches offer an all-weather alternative to grass so you can play team sports outside come rain or shine. At Better, we offer both 3G and 4G pitches. Check your nearest location to see which pitches are on offer.

What is the difference between a 3G and 4G pitch?

Both 3G and 4G pitches look like real grass but they are smoother, more durable and offer more grip than regular grass pitches. This means you can use them throughout the year. The main difference between a 3G pitch and 4G pitch is the latest generation does not need the black rubber pellets or rubber crumb that helps with shock absorption during the game.

How do I choose the right pitch to hire for me?
