Can I hire a wetsuit? Do I need to wear one?
Wetsuit policies vary depending on the venue and water temperature. Please see below for details specific to outdoor swimming at Jesus Green Lido, Lee Valley White Water Centre and West Reservoir Centre.
Jesus Green Lido
Wetsuit hire is not currently available. Wetsuits are optional but strongly recommended when the water temperature is below 14°C.
Lee Valley White Water Centre
Wetsuit hire is not currently available. Wetsuits are optional but strongly recommended when the water temperature is below 14°C. Tow floats are required for all swimmers, whether wearing a wetsuit or not. If you do not have a tow float, one will be provided at the entry point.
Stanborough Park Water Sports Centre
Wetsuits are not compulsory but are recommended during colder weather. If you choose to wear a wetsuit, you will need to bring your own suitable swimming wetsuit.
West Reservoir Centre
Wetsuit hire is not currently available. Wetsuits are optional but strongly recommended when the water temperature is below 14°C. Tow floats are required for all swimmers, whether wearing a wetsuit or not. If you do not have a tow float, one will be provided at the entry point.
Pools on the Park
Wetsuits are not required for swimming sessions. Please note that wetsuits are not available to hire at the venue.
Debdale Outdoor Centre
Wetsuit hire is not available. Wetsuits are optional but strongly recommended when the water temperature is below 14°C. All swimmers must use a tow float, including those wearing a wetsuit. Tow floats are available to hire or purchase from reception.
Wetsuits are not available to hire at the venue. You are welcome to wear your own wetsuit if you prefer, although this is not usually necessary as the outdoor pool is heated throughout the year.
