Dusk Till Dawn 12hr Relay
More than 180 swimmers are set to take part in the 2026 Dusk till Dawn relay at Jesus Green Lido on 27th June, raising money for Level Water, a charity that provides swimming lessons for children with disabilities.
The annual event challenges participants to complete a 12-hour relay through the night, starting at 7pm and finishing at 7am the following morning. Swimmers can take on the full challenge as solo entrants or join teams of up to 12 people, sharing the distance and experience throughout the night.
Interest in the fundraiser continues to grow, with organisers reporting strong demand for places. The event has now reached capacity, with 45 teams signed up alongside a number of solo swimmers. In total, more than 180 participants will enter the water, making it one of the largest editions of the relay to date.
All swimmers are encouraged to raise funds for Level Water, with individual participants aiming to raise at least £150 each. The money raised will help the charity continue its work providing specialist swimming lessons for children with disabilities, ensuring more young people can learn a vital life skill and enjoy the benefits of being safe and confident in the water.
Level Water supports children who may otherwise struggle to access swimming lessons because of physical, sensory or learning disabilities. Through one-to-one and tailored tuition, the charity helps children develop confidence, independence and essential water safety skills.
The Dusk till Dawn relay has become a highlight of the local swimming calendar, attracting participants from across the region. The unique overnight format creates a memorable atmosphere as swimmers take on the challenge under the stars, supported by volunteers, spectators and fellow participants throughout the night.
Last year’s event raised more than £30,000 for Level Water, and organisers are hopeful that the combination of a full field and ambitious fundraising efforts will help surpass that figure in 2026. With strong community backing and a shared commitment to supporting disabled children, the Dusk till Dawn relay promises to be another memorable and impactful event.
