British Gymnastics Finalists 2026

The Sands Centre have been named as a finalist in The British Gymnastics Awards 2026 for Official delivery partner of the year. We were lucky enough to be crowned winners of this award last year and got the opportunity to head to Liverpool to collect the award whilst getting to watch the British Championships and meeting the British Olympic Gymnasts.  We have everything crossed that we can also become winners for a second year running!

The Sands Centre has had an outstanding year of growth and achievement this year. We now deliver Rise Gymnastics to over 380 children, and more than 800 school children annually, driven by a dedicated and creative coaching team. The club hosted its first Rise Gymnastics competition, giving gymnasts the chance to showcase skills, build confidence, and enjoy performing.  

Inclusivity is at the heart of The Sand Centre’s work, with new SEND classes supporting children with additional needs and the British Gymnastics Foundation’s ‘Love to Move’ programme offering movement opportunities for adults with Parkinson’s and dementia.
