Dry-athlon
The Sands Centre, proudly welcomed participants, supporters and partners from the University of Cumbria for an inspiring Dry-athlon event that brought the local student body together through fitness, teamwork and determination.
The challenge combined three disciplines; rowing, cycling and running, into one exciting event designed to test endurance while promoting healthy lifestyles and community wellbeing. Participants of all abilities took part throughout the day, creating a positive and energetic atmosphere as friends, families and colleagues cheered competitors on from the sidelines.
Delivered in partnership with the University of Cumbria, the event showcased the strong relationship between the organisations and their shared commitment to encouraging people to become more active, support one another and take on new challenges. Staff, students and community members all joined forces to make the event a success, with many participants using the challenge as an opportunity to push personal limits and support wider wellbeing initiatives.
Competitors completed a sequence of rowing, cycling and running activities, demonstrating impressive stamina, focus and resilience across all three stages. The event highlighted not only physical achievement but also the sense of camaraderie and encouragement that developed throughout the day.
