Adult Intensive Swimming Lessons
You're never too old to start learning to swim! Swimming is a valuable skill to learn in any stage of life no matter your age. Our adult swimming lessons are fantastic for your physical and mental wellbeing too, as well as being a low-impact sport that most people can enjoy, regardless of age or fitness level.The intensity of a five day programme provides immediate progression in skill and ability.

1-to-1 Swimming Lessons
We understand that every person is different and has their own goals to achieve in the water. That’s why, at Better, we offer private 1-to-1 swimming lessons with a qualified swimming instructor at a leisure centre near you. Our expert instructors create and tailor bespoke swim plans to help you or your child hit their targets. 1-to-1 lessons are subject to availability.

Junior Gym
During the summer holidays we will have some extra times available for juniors to book gym sessions. Our Junior Gym sessions enable children aged between 11 and 17 to access the gym.
Please Note: On your first visit to the gym, you will need to book in for a junior induction and must provide proof of age via birth certificate or passport.
Family Fun Swimming
Enjoy a splash during our Family Fun Sessions, we will have these available in both the Main Pool and the Teaching pool. At Workington Leisure Centre we believe that swimming should be fun and exciting for all the family. In these sessions you are able to bring in small floats and swim toys.
10p Swim
Enjoy ther summer holidays with a fantastic value swimming offer for children, allowing 11-15s to swim for just 10p (accompanying adults usual admission applies).
Available for all ages at participating UK swimming pools on Swim for All sessions at the times below. Sessions subject to availability. Swim Safely rules apply. These Swimming sessions will be available to book in the main pool or the teaching pool.
