1-to-1 Swimming Lessons
We understand that every person is different and has their own goals to achieve in the water. That’s why, at Better, we offer private 1-to-1 swimming lessons with a qualified swimming instructor at a leisure centre near you. Our expert instructors create and tailor bespoke swim plans to help you or your child hit their targets. 1-to-1 lessons are subject to availability.

Bookings can be taken through Reception or online through the homeportal, just select 'Holiday and Short Courses' and pick your time and day.

10p Swims
Enjoy half term with a fantastic value swimming offer for children, allowing 11-15s to swim for just 10p (accompanying adults usual admission applies).
Our Half Term 10p swims will be the Monday 27th October until Friday 31st October 11am-11.50am Swim for All session in both the Main Pool and the Teaching Pool so ensure you are selecting your preferred pool, this session is online booking only so it is best to book early to avoid disappointment. Swim Safely rules apply.
Junior Gym
During the summer holidays we will have some extra times available for juniors to book gym sessions. Our Junior Gym sessions enable children aged between 11 and 17 to access the gym.
Please Note: On your first visit to the gym, you will need to book in for a junior induction and must provide proof of age via birth certificate or passport.
Family Fun Swimming
Enjoy a splash during our Family Fun Sessions, we will have these available in both the Main Pool and the Teaching pool. At Workington Leisure Centre we believe that swimming should be fun and exciting for all the family. In these sessions you are able to bring in small floats and swim toys.
Swim For All
A general Swim Session for all ages and abilities for fun and fitness, extra sessions available to book.
One competent adult (16yrs+) swimmer may supervise up to 2 under 8's or non swimmers under 16 at a time.
Your booking is for 50 minutes, and barcodes can be swiped in at the gate 10 minutes before and after start time.
£1.00 Swim
