Train like a Pro
We are pleased to share details of a new community basketball programme that will be taking place at King’s Cross Fitness as part of a GLL partnership with the NBA and the London Mayor's Office Project.
NBA Court Time is a participation-focused initiative designed to introduce more young people to basketball and create accessible, affordable opportunities to be active within their local community. King’s Cross Fitness has been selected as one of a small number of London centres across London to host the programme.
The programme will run over a 12-week period, with sessions designed to be welcoming, inclusive and suitable for different age groups.
Key details are outlined below:
Programme duration: February-April (12 weeks)
Venue: King’s Cross Fitness
Session days and times:
Fridays: 4pm–6pm
Sundays: 12pm–2pm
Age groups:
5–10 years
11–15 years
Cost to participate: £1 per session
Sessions will be delivered by qualified coaches from the London Coaches Programme, with a minimum of two coaches present at each session. The NBA will be providing all basketball equipment, including balls, cones and bibs, as well as branded resources to support the sessions.
This programme forms part of the NBA’s wider commitment to supporting grassroots basketball and creating a positive, long-term legacy for communities across London so we’re really pleased to be able to offer these sessions at King’s Cross Fitness. The press release will be going live on Friday with marketing assets to follow, once received we will work alongside local community groups share amongst Camden's young residents.
