With swimming, gym sessions, fitness classes, plus social activities taking place across the borough, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Swimming

We offer free swimming for Camden residents aged 60+ on a pay as you go membership at Kentish Town Sports Centre, Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre, Oasis Sports Centre and Pancras Square Leisure, on weekdays between 6.30am and 12pm. Swimming is one of the most effective and enjoyable ways for older adults to stay active. As a low-impact activity, it places minimal stress on the joints while providing a full-body workout that can help improve cardiovascular fitness, strength, flexibility and balance. 

Fitness Classes

Older adults are encouraged to take part in the same varied fitness programme enjoyed by the wider community. We aim to make our classes accessible and inclusive as possible, with instructors able to provide adaptations and alternative exercises where needed. Classes for our older community are low impact and designed to help improve strength, balance, mobility and overall wellbeing, making it easier to stay active, confident, and independent. 

Gym Workouts

Our gyms are inclusive to everyone and is divided into different workout zones: Strength, Stretch, Resistance, Functional and Cardio. Our friendly health and fitness team are also on hand to support with personalised programmes and advice to support your goals.

Senior Hub

If you have a Senior membership with us, you can now also enjoy our Senior Hub activities. Join our weekly sessions at our centres across Camden. All sessions are programmed so you can enjoy unique activities between your weekly swims, gym workouts and fitness classes. So come along, stay active and enjoy some social time.

    Mobile Health Check (LBC) to check BP, diabetes onset, and BMI alongside next steps and advice.
