Why should we exercise?

Exercise combats health conditions and diseases

Regular exercise can reduce the likelihood of developing various diseases and prevent medical conditions, such as High blood pressure, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, depression, cancer, anxiety and arthritis. It can also improve cognitive functions. No matter what shape, weight and size you are being active boosts high-density lipoprotein (HDL), or "good," cholesterol and decreases unhealthy triglycerides. Exercise will help keep your blood flowing smoothly throughout the body, which decreases your risk of cardiovascular diseases and other medical conditions.

Exercising can help lose weight and maintain current fitness levels if done on a regular bases. When you engage in activity the body burns calories to supply it with energy, especially when exercising for long durations of time.
