Prestwood Gym & Fitness Centre is stepping into a new era of footballing excellence

Prestwood Gym & Fitness Centre is stepping into a new era of footballing excellence with a major investment in its facilities and expansion of the staff team. 

The centre has commenced a £110,000 upgrade of its All-Weather Training Pitch (ATP), working with one of only four FIFA Approved Manufacturers to transform the pitch into a state-of-the-art 4G surface utilising a performance shock pad, 53mm Synthetic Carpet with rubber crumb technology and energy-efficient LED floodlighting.

This upgrade marks a significant milestone for the local fitness hub, enhancing both performance and accessibility for athletes, teams, and community groups. The new 4G pitch will offer improved grip, reduced impact, and extended usability throughout the year - rain or shine.

This refurbishment isn’t just about upgrading a surface, it’s about creating a space where people of all ages and abilities can train, play, and thrive. The LED floodlights will not only extend evening usage but also align with the centre’s commitment to sustainability, reducing energy consumption while improving visibility and reducing the impact on local wildlife.

In tandem with the refurbishment, Prestwood Gym is also expanding its team. The centre is currently recruiting General Assistant's to support evening and weekend operations. The role offers a dynamic opportunity to be part of a passionate, community-driven team, helping elevate the centre’s services and member experience.
