Witney Vikings FC Named Oxfordshire’s Club of the Year at 2025 Grassroots Football Awards

We’re delighted to share the fantastic news that Witney Vikings FC has been crowned Oxfordshire’s Club of the Year at the 2025 Grassroots Football Awards, hosted by Oxfordshire FA in partnership with England Football.

This prestigious award recognises clubs that go above and beyond to create a positive, inclusive, and thriving environment for grassroots football. Witney Vikings FC has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to player development, volunteer support, and community involvement — all key pillars of a successful grassroots club.

The club has also played an important role in promoting fairness and equal opportunities in youth football, ensuring that players of all backgrounds have the chance to enjoy and succeed in the game.

The award ceremony took place on Saturday 28th June 2025 at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in Oxford, where clubs, coaches, volunteers, and supporters gathered to celebrate the very best in local football. The Club of the Year award was one of the evening’s standout moments, recognising the efforts of a club that has made a lasting impact both on and off the pitch.

While we are not Witney Vikings ourselves, we want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to everyone at the club — from the coaches and volunteers to the players and families. Your dedication, passion, and hard work are what grassroots football is all about.

Well done, Witney Vikings — a fantastic achievement and a proud moment for Oxfordshire football!
