World Class Training Camp

Grove Leisure Centre recently hosted a high-performance, three-day international water polo training camp.

The camp featured Alberto Lotti, an internationally respected water polo coach from Savona, Italy, who led advanced in-water tactical sessions across the programme. The event was hosted in collaboration with our home club, the Donegal Diamonds, and welcomed athletes from Clonard, Cú Chulainn, Cathal Brugha, and Portadown, creating a strong inter-club and high-performance training environment.

Key highlights of the camp included:

>Six hours of structured training per day

>Advanced tactical and technical water polo sessions led by Alberto Lotti

>High-performance land and dry training delivered by former professional boxer Michael McCallister

>Athlete development across multiple age groups: U14, U16, U19, and Senior Women
This is the second consecutive year the diamonds have ran the course - amazing to see and we look foward to hosting again in the future.
