Team Eastern: Hyrox Heroes (and Chaos Crew) Take on Penallta!

This Saturday, the Eastern ladies and gents (five fierce women, five semi-organised men) are storming into GainFitness Penallta for an intergym HYROX-style showdown - all in aid of 2Wish.

They’ve been training like warriors, sweating buckets, and occasionally remembering… it’s all for charity (not just bragging rights). But that competitive edge? Razor sharp.

Leading the Madness:

Sian the Psycho - our fearless (and slightly terrifying) captain who’s somehow managed to do the entire workout solo. She keeps us in line… mostly out of fear.

The Ladies (aka “The Power Squad”)

Jo – Quiet, calm, composed… until the stopwatch starts. Then she’s secretly out to destroy everyone.

Annalise – Constantly underestimated, gives 100% every time, and throws in a small (but stylish) strop for flair.

Courtney – The youth of the group; quietly unassuming, stronger than she realises, and our secret weapon.

Michelle – Last-minute legend, run-machine, and literal lifesaver of the ladies’ team. Legs faster than your excuses.

The Men (aka “The Chaos Division”)

…Leadership? Still unclear. Organisation? Questionable. Entertainment value? Off the charts.

Spencer – Sian’s other half, which means he’s under strict orders to give 110%… or face eternal consequences.

Mark – Quiet assassin with a wicked sense of humour. Master of the “not-so” compliment and king of dry banter. You’ll never see the dig coming.

Greg – Here for the “talent” (his words, not ours). Strong, chilled, and somehow always in the right place at the right time.

Tim – Fueled by wine, cheese, and raw enthusiasm. Rocks up, smashes it, repeats.

Guto – Compact in stature, giant in determination. Gives it everything, even when the box jumps seem extra tall.

Together, they’re Team Eastern – 10 legends, 1 wild mission, and countless laughs ahead.

They’ve got grit, a touch of madness, and hearts of gold. 
Let’s go raise that money for 2Wish – and maybe a few eyebrows while we’re at it.
