The Rainbow Leisure Centre in Epsom is supporting MS Awareness Week 2019 by offering people with Multiple Sclerosis a chance to get active for free. On Thursday 25th April between 9am and 2pm, people living locally with MS can book a slot to discuss fitness needs with our qualified Fitness Instructor Karen Wilson.

Karen lives with MS and has been exercising with the condition for over 20 years. She has been helping people with a variety of disabilities, including MS, to get more active since 2014. She would be delighted to discuss specific exercise needs and tailor a programme to suit individual requirements and can also teach attendees how to safely and effectively use equipment in the gym to get them started on their fitness journey.

Research at the MS Trust has shown that there are many benefits of participating in regular exercise for people with MS, including improved mood, improved sleep, stronger muscles and reduced fatigue.  More information on this research can be found  HERE.

Anyone diagnosed with MS can come and try the facilities at Rainbow for free on Thursday 25th April.  Carers are also welcome to accompany them.  To book a time to speak to Karen and be shown some of the equipment on offer in the gym, please give the centre team a call on 01372 727277 or email rainbow@gll.org

We also offer a membership specifically for those living with a disability providing access to any of our centres across the UK, that includes gym, fitness classes and swimming. For more information on our All Inclusive Disability membership, available from just £20.95 per month, please visit our page detailing the types of membership available at the centre by clicking HERE
