Join Our Inclusive Open Day - 18th February
Families of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) are invited to a day of inclusive activities as the HIT Squad, Better, and Short Breaks come together to host a SEND Inclusive Leisure Fair on Wednesday 18 February 2026 at Britannia Leisure Centre.
Following the success of recent community events, the partners are once again collaborating to showcase the wide range of accessible leisure opportunities available across Hackney. The fair is designed to help families explore new activities, meet local leisure providers, and discover enjoyable, inclusive sessions for children and young people with additional needs.
The day begins with a Swim Sensory Disco from 12–1pm, offering a gentle, multisensory aquatic experience. Booking is required for this session.
The main event runs from 1–4pm, featuring taster activities such as tennis, multisports, and arts & crafts.
Specialist support will also be available throughout the afternoon. The HIT Squad’s multidisciplinary team will be on hand to help children, young people, and their families get the most out of the day.
The event is free to attend and open to families in Hackney and surrounding areas.
