Northern Wave Swimming Club at Hough End Leisure Centre
Northern Wave Swimming Club is one of the most established and successful lesbian and gay sports clubs in Europe. Most people come along to improve their swimming and socialise, though we do cater for those who want to take part in higher level Masters competitions. A diverse and friendly community of people, Northern Wave succeeds in being more than just a swim club; it offers an affordable healthy addition to any lifestyle, with many opportunities to get involved!
Northern Wave are delighted to hold their women’s session at Hough End Leisure Centre, on Wednesdays at 8-9pm. We are a thriving and friendly group of women from many backgrounds, resulting in a welcoming social scene. Women’s sessions cater for swimmers of all abilities – near beginners, improvers, social swimmers and competitors. So join us to improve your fitness at your own pace in a friendly and supportive environment. Sessions are always followed by a well-earned drink at the Nip and Tipple pub on Upper Chorlton Road.
If you are interested in attending our women’s session just turn up at the pool a little before 8pm! Your 1st session is free, and £4.50 (£2.50 concessions) thereafter.
