Manchester Squash Academy players’ success at England Squash Challenger
On 18th June, twelve players from the Manchester Squash Academy competed in the England Squash Challenger event hosted at The Northern. An early start in the mixed under 9 category first on the court. Competing in the tournament provided all the players with new opponents, match experience and national ranking points. Throughout the day, all the players competed well with some great squash played in an excellent spirit. Congratulations to Reuben in the under 11 category for winning his-ever squash tournament, winning all four matches. Further congratulations to Mitaire for winning his second squash tournament in the under 9 category. Mitaire was 2-0 down in the final and produced a determined comeback to win 3-2!
Further promising results included Lucas (2nd place), Eyad (3rd place) and Ethan (4th place) for their great efforts. Following the tournament, everyone is determined to keep practising and looking forward to playing more squash. Well done to all of the players.
