We currently have the following funded positions available within our partnership.

 

Full Time Recreation Assistant

Salary: Up to £20,134.24

The recreation assistant position will include a variety of duties including, but not limited to, lifeguarding the pool, cleaning, customer service and setting up/down equipment. Shift patterns include evenings, weekends and school holidays. Do your job well and there shouldn’t ever be an emergency however, if the unexpected should happen, you’ll be equipped with the skills to potentially save a life.

We will fund the qualifications for this position for successful candidates who can meet the following requirements;

  • Swim 50 metres in no more than 60 seconds
  • Swim 100m continuously on front and 100m continuously on back
  • Tread water for 30 seconds in deep water
  • Surface dive to the floor of the pool

 

Full Time Senior Recreation Assistant

Salary: £21,096.34

Are you an experienced Recreation Assistant (lifeguard) looking for the next step in your career? If so, this could be the position for you. Whilst on shift, you’ll oversee a team of lifeguards and be responsible for some staff training. The position also includes a variety of duties including, but not limited to, lifeguarding the pool, cleaning, customer service and setting up/down equipment.

We will fund the qualifications for this position for successful candidates who can meet the following requirements;

  • Swim 50 metres in no more than 60 seconds
  • Swim 100m continuously on front and 100m continuously on back
  • Tread water for 30 seconds in deep water
  • Surface dive to the floor of the pool

 

Swimming Teacher/Instructor

Rate of Pay: £15.05 p/h

As a swim teacher, you will thrive on supporting people to achieve their potential. Naturally, there’ll be some administration, however almost all of your time will be spent teaching people to become stronger swimmers, whether in a group or one-to-one, and from children to adults.

We’re looking for potential swim teachers who are approachable, with the friendly, patient nature needed to build trust, motivate pupils and encourage with praise.

We will fund the qualification for this position for successful candidates who can meet the following requirements;

  • Candidates must be kind and patient with all people, especially children.
  • A swimming background is desirable, but not essential.
  • A good swimming ability is ideal – we may get you to complete a swim test prior to the course.
  • A positive, can-do attitude.
