Swimming Pool Refurbishment
Exciting times are on the horizon as the South Reading Leisure Centre prepares for a complete refurbishment of its swimming pool. Commencing on Monday 4th September, this project promises to breathe new life into our facility. While we embark on these exciting improvements, we must regretfully inform you that the pool will temporarily close its doors, with an anticipated reopening date set for the end of March 2024.
We understand that this necessary development may disrupt your regular fitness routines, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Memberships will be temporarily upgraded to allow you to swim at alternative Better leisure centres in Reading during this time:
- Palmer Park Leisure Centre & Stadium
- Rivermead Leisure Centre
- Meadway Sports Centre
Swimming lessons will be temporarily relocated to Palmer Park Leisure Centre and Stadium.
We have scheduled the renovation works to align with the reopening of the demountable swimming pool at Rivermead Leisure Centre, maximising the availability of alternative facilities for you. Our goal is to minimise any inconvenience you may experience and ensure you can maintain your fitness and wellness goals.
