It’s exciting times for Squash at Croft Sports Centre as we have recently launched two Squash related activities which are both new to the centre.

Our Junior Squash programme started in the Autumn and is designed to introduce the basics of the game to juniors. The action-packed sessions are suitable for anyone that’s not picked up a racquet before, or have had some degree of experience through school. The sessions are on Saturday afternoons from 1pm-2pm, cost £5 per session but the first one is totally free! If you’d like to register your interest or would like to find out any more information, please contact Julian on

We’re also pleased to announce the creation of a box league which is running in conjunction with the new Croft Squash Club. Regardless of your ability or experience, plying squash is an excellent method of exercise, challenging both the body and the brain. Taking part in a box league adds that extra competitive edge and will develop your game across all levels, and matches can be scheduled at times that suits your lifestyle. The courts at Croft Sports Centre received funding from Squash England of £8,000 which aided the refurbishment of the courts in April 2019. This saw new flooring and doors on the two squash courts, some re-plastering and painting of the walls, and re-lining of the floor and wall markings. There are further plans to re-furbish one of the main play walls and also improve the heating to the area. Squash court facilities are becoming few and far between so it’s positive that the facilities at Croft Sport Centre can still be used.
