Meet the Swim Manager
It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the Swim Manager here at Hatfield Swim Centre. My name is Taylor Smith, and I am honoured to be entrusted with the responsibility of leading the Swim School.
Over the past six years, I have immersed myself in the Sports and Leisure industry, holding key positions that have equipped me with a well-rounded understanding of aquatic education and safety. My passion lies in the water. I have been an avid swimmer and water polo enthusiast, and these sports have not only been a source of personal enjoyment but have also instilled in me a deep appreciation for the physical and mental benefits of aquatics. My experience working with thousands of swimmers of all ages in Hertfordshire and Northwest London has reinforced my belief in the transformative power of swimming. I am committed to nurturing a love for the water, instilling confidence and promoting safety and fun in your child's aquatic journey.
My primary goal is to ensure that your child receives the highest quality swimming lessons, guided by certified and caring Swim Teachers. We are committed to creating an environment where every child can not only learn to swim, but also develop a love for the water.
I will be hosting two ‘Meet the Manager' Q&A sessions here at the centre:
- Friday 24th of November at 18:00
- Monday 27th of November at 18:00
These sessions offer an excellent opportunity for you to meet me, connect with other parents and have any questions addressed. To make these sessions even more enjoyable, we will have free tea, coffee, and biscuits available. We highly encourage your active participation and I am eagerly anticipating valuable discussions during these sessions. Your insights and questions are invaluable in helping us shape your child's swim education.
Should you wish to schedule a one-on-one meeting with me, please don't hesitate to let me know, and I can arrange a suitable time to accommodate your schedule. Your feedback and input are essential, and I am here to ensure your needs are met.

Your feedback and input are highly valued as we work together to create the best possible experience for your young swimmers. We have a wealth of new and exciting products and services in development that we are eager to introduce to you in the near future. In recent months, we have diligently implemented several new systems to enhance the quality of your child's swimming lessons. We greatly appreciate your continued support and commitment to your child's aquatic education. As we strive for excellence, we kindly request your cooperation in two essential matters:
Maximum Attendance & Punctuality
We understand that life sometimes presents unexpected challenges that may prevent attendance at swimming lessons. However, we kindly urge you, whenever possible, to prioritize attendance. Our teachers meticulously plan each lesson to cover a range of important skills. Missing a lesson can result in certain skills not being revisited for several weeks, potentially slowing your child's progress.
We also ask that your child arrives at their lessons on time to ensure the safety and optimal learning experience of all swimmers. This primarily focuses on your child's safety, as missing the warm-up not only hinders performance but also increases the risk of muscle injuries. Additionally, late arrivals can disrupt the flow of the entire class, which we believe would be unfair to the other swimmers.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Your child's progress and well-being remain our utmost priorities, and your support in adhering to these guidelines is invaluable.
