National Fitness Day - Wednesday 20th September 2023

Everyone here at Hatfield Swim Centre would like to send out a massive thank you to everyone who helped us play our small part for National Fitness Day 2023. We had a very good turnout for our Bootcamp style Circuit training, led by our Fitness Instructor Manny Zapanta, and everyone seemed to go away satisfied (and tired) from a hard workout. A thank you to those participants who took part and a special well done to the winner of our Battle Ropes Challenge! We got some great photos of you and these will be shared among our Social media platforms throughout.

However, the call to keep the mentality that “YourHealthIsForLife has never been more important!

As we all very well remember, when Covid-19 hit us, all gyms and fitness centres closed. This had a massive impact in people’s mental health and this just shows how much a 1 hour gym session or fitness class really helps towards a happier and healthier life. We here at Hatfield Swim Centre felt the positivity when we were finally able to reopen. Morale was boosted and, although we had to maintain different rules far from what we were used to before, we believe people were just thankful that they were able to enter a full working gym again.

This also extends to swimming and fitness classes as well. Swimming is possibly the best way to keep fit and active as it literally exercises every muscle in the body. Whether you are someone who likes to swim continuous lengths or if you are bringing the family for a fun swim, it all counts towards keeping fit!

To summarise, although National Fitness Day is designated for one day of the year, this goes a long way of showing that, in reality, every day could be National Fitness Day and we thank everyone again, not just here but all over the country, for playing their part!
