Stanborough Park continues to be a sought after choice for filming projects, due to its location and beautiful surroundings.

We have most recently supported Year 11 Students from Borehamwood School who students filmed a trailer for a murder mystery film, as part of their Media Studies Project.

We would like to thank the students of Borehamwood School for choosing Stanborough and for a very well organised shoot and wish them success with their final exams

In the summer, students from North Herts College attended site to complete a photo shoot for their make-up artist qualification. The Midsummer Night’s Dream photo shoot was coordinated to teach students about how to work on location in an outdoor environment. Students were required to plan their own travel to site, including the movement of all their equipment and the setting up of on location make up areas and working with the weather. All of the Students passed this element of their qualification and this stunning photo shoot showcased the Students skills and the beautiful parkland.

Stanborough was lucky enough to be visited by the BBC Springwatch Team back in February, following a sighting, by a member of the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust, of a very rare bird called a Little Bunting. The sighting of this rare species reflects the safe natural environment for wildlife at our site.

The BBC returned in the summer for further filming for Countryfile, for a segment on inland water quality. The Team filmed at various locations within the park and the River Lea, and were treated to a ride on a Powerboat by the team at Stanborough!

Stanborough also continues to be a popular filming location for local and national News with coverage of the Splashlands Splash Pad site being a firm favourite, due to its popularity in good weather and Splashlands being an excellent example of free outdoor children’s water play area.

Stanborough has also been chosen for a marketing campaign for a new housing development within the local area. Contact was made by the developers and a request to showcase the site as an area of natural beauty for mindfulness and wellbeing, as well as the range of activities available including watersports and recreational activities.

We would like to thank all our working partners for their interest in the site and continued promotion of the site via various media channels.
